song comment for blue vinyl

"This is the largest storm related outage in our history," John Miksad, Con Edison senior vice president for electric operations, said in a company Twitter message Tuesday. - 24841 07/18/14

As far as I'm concerned, it is a fkn disgrace that this lot haven't been long since snapped up - the shit that does get signed often beggars belief, and there are all these independents championing some toss with an old binary synth as 'new electronica', and wetting themselves over it. Mental. Blue Vinyl have a solid, solid sound. Stylistically, it's like they have been lifted from the late eighties. Their contemporaries then would have included Rig, 5:30, The Milltown Brothers and Bradford, along with the likes of The Roses and The Wedding Present. Their straight-up delivery breaks the mould on sheer power alone, and their tunes scream 110% conviction. Live, they are absolutely f***ing blistering, with a delivery that is heartFELT, not half-arsed. They are prolific songwriters as well, with a good stash of tunes that hit the spot time and time again. I simply cannot recommend this band enough - listening to their demos only hints at their full awesome and spine-tingling potential. You won't hear another indie 'lads-with-guitars' outfit that are as explosive as this one. Lads, if you are in an unsigned indie band, then THIS is the old Northern school of rock n' roll revitalised, recaptured and reworked to stunning effect. Piece of piss to de-tune yer instruments or whatever, and get tagged 'experimental'. These lads are the real deal. There are gonna be some label heads crying in their beer when Blue Vinyl are snapped up from under every c**t's nose, I am tellin' yer.
